INTITOLAZIONE A STEFANE GRAPPELLI

The official naming ceremony of the staircase connecting Via Alcide De Gasperi to Via Del Calasanzio will be held on Friday 4 August at 6 pm.
The plaque, prepared by the municipality, reads: Scalinata Stéphane Grappelli (Paris 1908 - 1997). Jazz violinist, Alatrino by adoption”. The mayor Maurizio Cianfrocca, the councilor responsible for culture Sandro Titoni, the councilor president of the Toponymy Commission Tiziano Latini, the president of the Gottifredo Tarcisio Tarquini Association will be present.
After the unveiling ceremony of the plaque, the event will continue on the stage in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, at 7 pm, with the show “From Alatri with love. Stéphane Grappelli and his violin ”, the story, between music and words, of the life of the jazz violinist who made the world understand that the violin could have a life beyond classical music and gypsy shows, written by Vanessa Cremaschi.
Guitarist Andrea Parente will be on stage together with Vanessa Cremaschi, narrator, violin and voice.
